Why Henry Ford Genesys Hospital?

I chose Henry Ford Genesys Hospital because from the first time I spoke to the preceptors and residents at a residency showcase, it was clear that they were all truly passionate about their residency program and about pharmacy practice as a whole. I was looking for a PGY-1 residency program that had exceptional preceptors that were excited to teach and allow residents to develop into competent pharmacists, and I knew that the residency program at Henry Ford Genesys Hospital definitely checked that box for me. Now that I have started my residency, I am incredibly glad that I chose Genesys. The residency is designed in a way that makes me sure that I will be ready to practice independently as a clinical pharmacist by the end of the program. The preceptors are also incredibly focused on resident well-being and dedicated to their role in resident development. I have thoroughly enjoyed my time here so far and highly recommend this residency program.

Why Henry Ford Genesys Hospital?

The PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency Program offered a variety of learning opportunities through different clinical rotations, longitudinal projects, and academic experience that align with my future career pathway of academia and clinical practice. As a pharmacy resident at Henry Ford Genesys Hospital, my personal wellbeing and professional growth are their top priorities. Henry Ford Genesys Hospital is like a home to me where I felt welcomed during the interview and enjoyed working with many knowledgeable pharmacists and preceptors who really care about me in an inclusive and respectful working environment. I am looking forward to embracing a whole different myself with a significantly higher level of clinical, research, and teaching skills after this residency year.

Why Henry Ford Genesys Hospital?

One main reason I chose to complete my PGY1 residency at Henry Ford Genesys Hospital was the fantastic care that both myself and my family have experienced here over the years. The staff at Henry Ford take a great deal of pride in what they do and their impact on patients, families, and the community. Being a part of this team has allowed me to grow as a clinician and connect with many other healthcare professionals to provide patient focused care and positive outcomes.

Why Henry Ford Genesys Hospital?

I started working for Henry Ford during my final year of pharmacy school. The people at Henry Ford are some of the kindest people I have worked with. I have always been interested in management and pharmacy leadership and Henry Ford Genesys Hospital was my perfect match. I love that their program allows me to gain clinical practice experience through my traditional PGY1, but allows me to grow relationships I will take with me into my PGY2.
