The Henry Ford Macomb Hospital (HFMH) General Surgery Program is a five-year curriculum of graded responsibility progressing to complete and definitive care of the general surgical patient.
The Henry Ford Macomb Hospital General Surgery Residency Program curriculum has been constructed around the requirements set forth by the ACGME. Every resident will be scheduled for required rotations at Henry Ford Macomb Hospital - Clinton Township, Henry Ford Hospital – Detroit, Troy Beaumont Hospital, Hurley Medical Center, The Children's Medical Center of Dayton and Grady Memorial Hospital - Atlanta. The program includes mandatory rotations as well as a variety of elective rotations on services under the direction of the Departments of General Surgery. Recognizing that residents have varied backgrounds and goals, the program includes opportunities for elective experiences as well.
