"I always used to say if I had one wish, it would be to wake up in the morning and be able to see. Now my wish has come true and it's just wonderful. I started wearing glasses when I was five years old, and I've never been comfortable with them. Even when you get contacts, you still have to have glasses. It gets really expensive - especially when your glasses are as thick as mine were. And I never had any confidence in myself in glasses. If I ran into someone at the store when I was wearing them, I was always embarrassed.

"I guess the first time I really realized how horrible it was not to be able to see was when I gave birth to my daughter. They took my glasses away, so when they showed me the baby for the first time, I couldn't even see her. They had to take her to another hospital because she was early and I didn't see her for a week. When you realize that you can't even see your newborn baby, it's really frustrating.

"That very same daughter recently got contacts and it was like deja-vu for me. She doesn't like them at all, but now that I've had such great success with Laser Vision Correction she knows that when she gets a little older she'll have an option.
