Pediatric Residency

Welcome to the Department of Pediatrics at Henry Ford St. John Children's Hospital in Detroit, Michigan, where you will find a large group of primary care and specialty care physicians dedicated to the care of children and adolescents.

Real life, hands on experience, along with strong academics bring an unsurpassed education in patient care, diagnosis and treatment, disease prevention, and health and wellness. This is evidenced by our impressive 100% board passing rate that we have enjoyed for 11 years out of the past 14 years. We are also proud that our residents score the highest amongst pediatric programs in the nation. Multiple individual residents have scored in the top 5 in the country.

Our goal is to prepare our graduating residents for a life-long career of self-education and dedication to the field of pediatrics. The experience gained over their three years here will provide them with the opportunity to choose a career path in either the general practice of pediatrics or a subspecialty career.

2024-2025 Benefits and Compensation

Henry Ford St. John Children's Hospital does not offer any fellowship opportunities, allowing the focus of our program to remain on our residents and their education.
