About Me
Shannon S. Joseph, MD, is an Oculofacial Plastic Surgeon. Dr. Joseph received her medical training from the internationally renowned Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine where she was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha National Medical Honor Society. She then completed her ophthalmology residency at the prestigious Wilmer Eye Institute at the Johns Hopkins Hospital, followed by a highly specialized fellowship in oculofacial plastic surgery at the University of Michigan Ann Arbor, accredited by the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
Dr. Joseph served as Assistant Professor at the Johns Hopkins Wilmer Eye Institute prior to returning to the University of Michigan and was promoted to Associate Professor. She previously served as the Medical Director of the University of Michigan Kellogg Eye Center Ambulatory Surgery Center, Medical Director of the Division of Eye Plastic, Orbital and Facial Cosmetic Surgery, and Co-Director of the Michigan Medicine Multidisciplinary Facial Nerve Clinic.
Dr. Joseph specializes in the following conditions and procedures: Cosmetic surgery of the eyelid and periorbital area (upper and lower blepharoplasty, brow/forehead lift, fat grafting), surgical and non-surgical facial rejuvenation (neurotoxin and dermal filler injections, laser skin resurfacing), Mohs/skin cancer reconstruction, and eyelid reconstruction.
