About Me

Biographical Statement

I am a Nurse Practitioner at Henry Ford Jackson, working in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery. I completed my undergraduate education at Central Michigan University (2009) and received a Bachelor of Science degree with majors in Sports Medicine and Health Fitness.  While working as an athletic trainer for 6 years, I obtained a Master's degree in Health Care Administration from Bellevue University (2012) and an Associate's degree in Nursing from Jackson College (2015).  For the entirety of my nursing career, I worked in the Emergency Department at Henry Ford Jackson until 2021 when I joined Henry Ford Orthopedics.

While employed as a nurse, I completed my Master's of Science from Simmons University School of Nursing. I am a Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner in the state of Michigan, accredited through the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP). I joined the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at Henry Ford Jackson in 2021 as a member of the Joint Reconstructive Service.  In this position, I work both in the clinic and as a surgical first assistant in the operating room.  Areas of interest are joint replacement, sports medicine, and injection therapy.

In being a part of your care team, we will start with an examination, discussion, and assessment of the problems you are facing.  Then, working together, I like to work as a team to come up with a care plan best suited for your needs.  We will discuss options ranging from conservative non-surgical treatment interventions all the way through surgery, if appropriate or necessary.  My time as an Athletic Trainer on the sideline, Registered Nurse in the emergency department, and now my role as a Nurse Practitioner, has all helped me gain knowledge and experience for acute and chronic conditions.
