Tiffany Humes, OD

Dr. Tiffany Humes is a long-time resident of Detroit. She attended Xavier University of Louisiana in New Orleans, receiving a B.S. in Biology, and the Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Salus University in Philadelphia. Dr. Humes completed residency at TLC Eyecare Centers through the Michigan College of Optometry, specializing in Ocular Disease. She is a member of the American Optometric Association, the Metro Detroit Optometric Society, National Optometric Association (NOA) and Black Eyecare Perspective. In addition, Dr. Humes serves on the Executive team of Black Eyecare Perspective as the Business Transformation Manager. Her role is to continue to expand programs that fulfill the mission of BEP, redefining the color of the eyecare industry 1% at a time.  

Professionally, Dr. Humes is passionate about shedding light on the link between lifestyle choices and health disparities. She emphasizes education for her patients on the importance of diagnosis and treatment of the three silent killers of vision: diabetes, glaucoma and hypertension, the importance of wellness in eyecare, and treatment of ocular surface diseases. In her leisure time, she enjoys international travel, volunteering at her church, community health education events, and spending time with family.
