Henry Ford Health Appoints New Executive Vice President, Chief Strategy & Network Development Officer
Nationally recognized industry thought leader to bring decades of innovative healthcare experience
DETROIT – Henry Ford Health today announced that national healthcare strategist Dennis Butts, MBA, will be joining the health system as Executive Vice President, Chief Strategy & Network Development Officer, effective August 26, 2024. Reporting to president and CEO Bob Riney, Butts will provide executive counsel and strategic leadership for the health system’s enterprise-level strategy, serve as a key executive in ensuring the success of the proposed joint venture with Ascension Michigan, and collaborate with physician and operational leaders to deliver on the synergistic promise of an integrated delivery system inclusive of acute, ambulatory, post-acute, network and health plan assets.

Butts joins Henry Ford Health from strategic consulting firm Guidehouse, where he served as its health strategy & innovation leader across commercial health, public health, and life sciences verticals. With more than two decades of healthcare industry experience, Butts led numerous enterprise growth initiatives and is a nationally known expert in network design, innovative care delivery and payment models. He has helped healthcare organizations create integrated service line plans, ambulatory strategies, and revenue models that support growth.
