Henry Ford-GoHealth Urgent Care Opens New Center in Southfield
Southfield, Mich. – Henry Ford-GoHealth Urgent Care opened a new center today at 28670 Telegraph Rd. in Southfield. The new center, which provides the community with a more affordable option for safe and efficient urgent care outside the higher-cost setting of an emergency department, is located in the retail corridor between I-696 and Twelve Mile Rd.
“Southfield’s central location and premier business community make it the perfect place to serve residents living and working in Metro Detroit,” said Laurie Dietzel, Market Vice President, Henry Ford-GoHealth Urgent Care. “We are excited to open a center in Southfield that will expand access to high-quality, affordable care for patients in this thriving and diverse community.”
Henry Ford-GoHealth Urgent Care centers offer in-person and virtual treatment for non-life-threatening illnesses and injuries, on-site X-ray services, COVID-19 testing and flu vaccines. Healthcare providers at the centers can also prescribe and fill COVID-19 oral antiviral treatments if clinically indicated after evaluation.
The new Southfield location is the 14th Henry Ford-Go Health location to open in Metro Detroit in recent months. Since last year, Henry Ford-GoHealth centers have opened in Berkley, Bloomfield Hills, Bruce Township, Canton, Chesterfield, Clinton Township, Dearborn Heights, Fraser, Livonia, Southgate, St. Clair Shores, and West Bloomfield. A center in Taylor is expected to open soon.
“In addition to offering the community access to high-quality urgent care services we are offering them access to Henry Ford’s robust network of care,” said Doug Ditri, Henry Ford Health’s Chief Operating Officer of System Ambulatory Operations. “Every time we open the doors to a new Henry Ford-GoHealth Urgent Care center we make ourselves move available to our community where and when they need us.”
Henry Ford-GoHealth Urgent Care centers are open 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Patients can be seen quickly and easily in-person by walking in or going online to save a spot and pre-register. Virtual visits are also available for patients to access care from home.
