Health Care Camp 2025

Thanks to a generous gift from the Al Glick Scholars Endowment Fund, Henry Ford Jackson Hospital, in partnership with the Jackson Area Career Center, is hosting our third annual summer day camp free of cost for thirty (30) Jackson area students currently in grades 6th – 9th.

The 2025 Health Care Camp takes place Monday, June 16, through Friday, June 20. This unique day camp experience provides students with an opportunity to:

Participate in hands on activities related to health care careers
Learn about the health care careers in the following departments and more!
- Womens and Children’s Services
- Graduate Medical Education (GME)
- Lab and Diagnostics
- Respiratory Therapy
- Surgical Services
- Physical Therapy
- Sports Medicine
- Behavioral Health
- Security
- Emergency Care/ First Responders
- Nutrition Services
- Community Engagement

Every student participant must receive all vaccinations and testing required by Henry Ford Health’s compliance standards. Please, view the “Vaccination Checklist” below to ensure all vaccinations and testing is administered within the correct timeframe.

Applications must be received by Monday, May 12, 2025. Hurry! Space is limited to 30 students.

We are currently in search of eight (8) Jackson Area Career Center Seniors, or College students to volunteer as camp counselors during the week of camp.If you are interested in volunteering as a camp counselor please submit an application by Monday, May 12, 2025.
