Physicians unite to transform care in Macomb County

The Janet & Jim Riehl North Tower at Henry Ford Macomb Hospital opened its doors to the community in May 2023. The tower – spanning five stories and 225,000 square feet, and designed with input from community members, patients and team members – was brought to fruition with support from the philanthropic community in Macomb County and beyond.

Among these donors was Alliance Health Professionals, PLLC, a medical group practice formed in partnership with Henry Ford Macomb Hospital.

Alliance Health arose from a group of private practices throughout Macomb County with a shared vision for value-based care and a belief that more could be done as a collective than individually. Specializing in Internal Medicine, Family Practice, Cardiology and more, Alliance Health is dedicated to helping patients stay healthy longer and reducing the burden of healthcare for them.

Inspired by Henry Ford Macomb Hospital’s partnership and the hope for a reinvigorated care environment, Alliance Health physicians made a $500,000 gift toward the Riehl Tower.

“Henry Ford Macomb has been a tremendous partner with its physicians,” said Phil Hunsberger, President, Alliance Health Professionals, PLLC, who shared that supporting the North Tower campaign was an easy decision. “Many of our physicians practice in the hospital. It’s a treat to have a better place to perform that care, and our patients enjoy having a better place to lay their head when they’re in the hospital.”
