This Comprehensive Stroke Unit Manual was designed to prepare the therapist to identify the parameters in which to safely work with the acute stroke patient. It is not intended to be used as a tool in developing expert handling skills for treating the patient after a stroke. This skill set is developed over time and with continuing education course work.
