Senior Healthy Living Lectures

The senior Healthy Living program invites you to attend our next event in the Healthy Living Lecture series. These free, virtual events feature expert speakers from Henry Ford Health who will discuss topics of importance for seniors. Each hour-long presentation will allow time for questions and answers.

You’ve Got to Have Friends: The Benefits of Being Social and Having Friends as We Age

Maintaining and nurturing relationships is crucial at any age to support our physical and mental well-being, but socialization and friendships are even more important as we age. In the next Healthy Living webinar, join Veronica Bilicki, RN, BSN and manager of Henry Ford Health's Caregiver Assistance Resources and Education (C.A.R.E) Program as she discusses how friendships as we age can improve our immune system, lower our risk of chronic disease and keep us active. She will also discuss how growing your social groups and maintaining friendships can decrease loneliness and improve brain function as well as to see how to put yourself out there and find connections.

A WebEx link will be emailed to those who sign up.

Click the "I Want to Attend" button below to register for the upcoming lectures. Upon receiving your registration, you will receive an email with a link to join the WebEx presentation.
