Heather Geisler is the executive vice president and chief brand & experience officer of Henry Ford Health. In this role, she is responsible for shaping and enhancing the organization’s brand and consumer experience, ensuring that each interaction reflects Henry Ford Health’s commitment to innovation, accessibility, and excellence.

A transformative leader, Heather has redefined Henry Ford Health’s brand identity and strategy, guiding a comprehensive campaign to modernize the brand architecture and execute a dynamic activation plan that involved more than 60 cross-functional teams. Her work has elevated the visibility of Henry Ford Health regionally, nationally and internationally, building a brand that not only honors the health system’s profound legacy, but also positions it as a forward-thinking leader in meeting the evolving needs of its patients and communities.

Heather joined Henry Ford Health in 2020 and has since championed efforts to enhance inclusivity, fostering an environment that is reflective of the diverse communities it serves. Through data-driven insights, Heather has introduced strategies to enhance the consumer journey, leveraging analytics to guide system-wide decisions and improve experiences from first contact to follow-up care. Her initiatives focus on removing barriers and creating pathways that feel accessible and personalized for all individuals. She successfully led Henry Ford Health’s marketing and communications efforts during a time of unprecedented change and growth, playing a critical role in navigating global healthcare challenges and implementing innovative strategies to keep patients, team members and communities informed.

Before joining Henry Ford Health, Heather was the Senior Vice President of Global Brands for Hyatt Hotels, where she led the global marketing, advertising, positioning and growth of Hyatt’s 19 brands. Her work emphasized thoughtful representation and inclusion in all consumer-facing initiatives, principles she continues to bring to her leadership role at Henry Ford Health.

Heather’s vision, spirit of innovation and accomplishments at Henry Ford Health have earned her respect throughout the healthcare community, including being honored on Crain’s Detroit Business’ 2023 list of Notable Leaders in Marketing, as well as being recognized among “42 Healthcare Chief Experience Officers to Watch” and “Healthcare Chief Experience Officers to Know” by Becker’s Hospital Review. She also serves as a mentor for the Women of Tomorrow Scholarship Program in Detroit, a member of the Innovation Committee and Campaign Cabinet of the United Way of Southwest Michigan, and on the board of directors for MoGo Detroit.

Heather received a bachelor’s degree in political science from The University of Iowa and was a Punch Sulzberger fellow at the Columbia Graduate School of Journalism.
