Musculoskeletal Radiology Research

Research Project. As an ACGME-accredited fellowship, all fellows participate in a research project. The past two years, we have concentrated on applications of natural language processing (NLP) to musculoskeletal radiology. The most recent project involved using NLP to summarize the Epic clinical notes and produce a short accurate history for patients undergoing MR of the knee.

QA Project. As an ACGME-accredited fellowship, all fellows participate in a QA project. Last year’s project involved comparing the given clinical history of patients undergoing MR of the knee with the NLP-generated history.
