CapTel captioned telephones
Call: Jennifer Weallans at (248) 550-6866
Do you or your loved one struggle to hear on the phone? We would like to share an amazing resource that will greatly improve your ability to communicate over the phone and it’s FREE. Through the Americans with Disabilities Act, OEI provides a FREE CapTel captioned telephone for ANYONE at ANY age that has verified hearing loss, the internet, and a telephone line. A captioned telephone is a phone that comes with a screen that shows word-for-word what the other person is saying. It is 4 times as loud as a regular phone. It includes an answering machine. They provide FREE installation service to your home and even your work, if needed.
To learn more about the phone and it’s features please click HERE. Here is the form needed for hearing loss verification-it takes a signature from your audiologist, trained hearing professional or MD.
