Marianne M Franco, MD

Biographical Statement

Dr. Franco is a highly accomplished surgeon with a strong background in general and minimally invasive surgery. She earned her medical degree from Michigan State University College of Human Medicine and completed her residency in general surgery at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan. Following her residency, she pursued a fellowship in Minimally Invasive and Bariatric Surgery at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland.

Since starting her career at Henry Ford Health in 2011, Dr. Franco has taken on significant leadership roles, serving as Division Head of General Surgery at Henry Ford Medical Group and as Service Chief at Henry Ford West Bloomfield Hospital. She also played a crucial role as the Trauma Medical Director at Henry Ford West Bloomfield Hospital, where she was instrumental in establishing the hospital's Level III Trauma Center.

Dr. Franco's clinical interests include abdominal wall reconstruction and robotic surgery, reflecting her commitment to advancing surgical techniques and improving patient outcomes.
