Colorectal Cancer Screening Events

March is National Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month, and Henry Ford Health invites you to learn more about the importance of colorectal cancer screening and early detection. Colorectal cancer experts are hosting several awareness events across the system, where they will be sharing more information about screening guidelines, providing at-home test kits and helping to facilitate colonoscopy appointments. Additionally, the Detroit and West Bloomfield events will feature a GIANT inflatable colon, offering visitors a one-of-a-kind, interactive experience. As they walk through the exhibit, guests will get a close-up view of the differences between healthy and diseased colon tissue, learn about common colon conditions such as hemorrhoids and colon cancer, and explore available treatment options.
